General
Walk With Women is a charity walk fundraising event organised by PPIS to raise awareness and much-needed funds to support the programmes and services for our beneficiaries. The walk puts participants' resilience and determination to the test, mirroring the very qualities we strive to instil in our beneficiaries as they embark on their own path towards a fulfilling and empowering life. Every step taken and every dollar raised fuels our mission to inspire women, strengthen families and help create a ripple effect of hope.
We deliver three core services, namely Family Services, Student Care, and a Residential Facility, serving as a secular halfway house for women engaged in community rehabilitation programmes. With 11 centres island-wide, these services work together seamlessly to provide quality and holistic support, as well as developmental programmes for women and their families across the different phases of their lives.
Registration
There is only the virtual 5km walk category available for this event.
You can register as an individual or a team.
The appointed team leader has to create a new team and register as a 'Team Leader of a New Team' during registration. After registration, the team leader will receive a Team Code that he/she can share to other team members.
Obtain the Team Code from the team leader and register as a 'New Member of an Existing Team' during registration.
There is no minimum age as we encouraged participation from different ages and abilities. All individuals under the age of 18 must obtain parental or legal guardian consent during registration.
Only participants who have raised the qualification amount of $50.00 by 1 February 2025 will be entitled to event entitlements. Details of event pack collection will be shared with all qualified participants after the end of the event.

Qualification
You can raise funds by donating to your own profile or by sharing your profile to your family and friends.
Yes. All donations made to PPIS are eligible for tax deductions of 2.5 times. PPIS is an approved Institute of a Public Character (IPC).
Payment by credit/debit card and PayNow are accepted. For corporates and group (>20) wishing to pay by cheque or other modes of payment, please contact us at walkwithwomen@ppis.sg.
Please ensure you have received the qualification email. If so, you can start clocking the 5km distance by Strava or via manual submission.
Your profile information will show the number of supporters you have and the donation amount your supporters have contributed to date.
You will not be allowed to switch teams throughout the duration of the event.

When you donate to an individual, the donation will only be directed to that particular individual that you are supporting. For instance, when donating $100.00 to support Participant A, the amount will be directed solely to Participant A.

When you donate to a team, the donation will be distributed equally to all team members’ profiles at the time of donation For instance, when donating $100.00 to support a team with Participant A, B, C, and D, the donation will be divided equally among the 4 profiles.
No, previous donations will only be distributed equally to all team members’ profiles at the time of donation. For corporates who would like to contribute a sum to qualify all their team members, kindly write to walkwithwomen@ppis.sg.
As a team, all members will need to achieve the required qualifying amount of $50.00 per participant. Only group members who have either achieved their individual donation amount will qualify for the event. For corporates who would like to contribute a sum to qualify all their team members, kindly write to walkwithwomen@ppis.sg.
All funds raised will be directed to PPIS to support our beneficiaries and their families. No refund of donations would be made.
No insurance coverage will be provided for all event participants.

Clocking my distance
There are two ways you can submit your walk details for verification:
  • You can submit your walk details by syncing your Strava profile to your event profile for automatic uploads of your walk details, or
  • You can also submit images of your walk details manually. For manual submission, log in to the user portal and submit a screenshot of the completion details between 1 December 2024 – 1 February 2025.
